Brewed: 26 April 2009
Grain Bill:25 lbs Pilsner 2 lbs Special Breiss 1 lb Crystal 120L 1 lb Munich 10L 2 lbs 40 Crystal Hops:9.8 AAU Willamette 30min 7.8 AUU Saaz 15min
The yeast apparently had not fully activated by the time the wort was cooled and ready to be transferred to the fermenter. We added it to a small amount of wort to aid in activation. Mash:120 min at 158 deg Ramp up to 168 deg Boil:Had a boil-over (out first) at the beginning of the boil. I think in the future it could be avoided simply by turning the fan on. |
