005 Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout

Brewed: 31 May 2009

Mash:

We started off around 152 and ramped up to 158.  Sparge water was too hot again; initially measuring 172 degrees before we noticed.  We expect that it dropped at least two degrees while flowing through the tube but we can't be sure.

Boil:

We turned the kettle on before it was full and reached a full boil when it was only 1/3 full.  We turned it off and waited till it was full before resuming the boil.
